I love my car. Well, perhaps “love” is a strong word. But despite my little eurobox being criticsed by form of my friends (who either drive similar euroboxes or rustboxes that no longer pass their MOT first time) I’m yet to find anything wrong with it.
Plus, its far too young to qualify for this Government Scrappage Scheme that I keep hearing about.

Now, stop me if I’m wrong, but as I understand it you can “trade in” older cars for a reduction in the cost of a new one. The theory is that it means car manufacturers have more work to do (especially if owners trade in “old for new”), plus there will be an added benefit of eventually removing older and less reliable cars from the roads and making us all safer.

The whole idea seems controversial in some camps. In Germany, their concurrent scheme is purportedly rife with abuse, and I’m sure that they are not alone.

So, would you use such a scheme? Use our poll and let us know!
